Trattoria Remo's

I ate here last night with a friend from my German language class and her German boyfriend, after the place we had planned to eat at across the road turned out to be closed.


We sat down at a table on the pavement, and took ages deciding what to eat - why? Because everything looked so delicious! The people on the neighbouring table were enthusing about their prawns, and they did look and smell delicious. In the end, I chose to have some grilled squid which was cooked to perfection, while my friends had a Spaghetti al frutti di mare and a spaghetti e gorgonzola - which I have to say didn't look as appetising as mine did! Nevertheless, we all enjoyed our meals and the lively atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant contributed along with the good food. Prices were reasonable, ranging from EUR6 to EUR15 euros for a main course.


Highly Recommended!

Unfortunately it lets itself down by the way the manager behaves and food is average at best. If you have an opportunity to try somewhere else I would recommend that as an option. It could do really well but it fails on some key basics and unfortunately that spoils what they have done well. The restaurant is a great size the tables have room and the decoration is nice. The facilities are good and the serving staff are nice enough. I would also pass on the garlic bread attempt... It looks and tastes like garlic sauce from a kebab shop best left for he kebabs and the dry bread is an easy miss.

Poor service and mediocre food; this restaurant lives of a good location and not good quality. AVOID!
