Bang Bar

It's a shame this venue closed. It has gone through many changes over the years, from magnums back in the 90's into bang bar and finally the mouse trap before it closed. It has catered to office staff during the day and all types of clientele at night. I have witnessed and been party to a huge plethora of music and events here. Bikers, ravers, goths, punk, metal, indie, techno, gabba, dnb, hard house, happy hardcore, cheese, pop, ska, dub, reggae, acid, hip hop, electro swing, drone, noise, jazz, blues etc
Simply , this venue catered for everyone. I've had some of the best nights of my life here.
It was small, it was dark, it was open late before anyone else was and probably a little expensive and out of the way but damn it was fun.
It's a shame it's gone.

One of the more quirky venues in Basingstoke, Just hiding in between all the huge concrete office blocks (worthy of Milton Keynes) is the Bang Bar with a newsagent and open kitchen chinese take-away.
Its quite a small venue, painted in some interesting colour scheme, with different themes all through, still making it interesting.
Has always been nice and friendly when I've been in, and was the first place I ever tried Strongbow Sirrus! Prices aren't bad for Basingstoke, and defnitely worth a visit!
