Chicco di Grano

There are definitely a ton of places like this one in Rome, but no complaints from me! I ordered the gnocchi and my dad got the lasagna, both of which we very much enjoyed. The portion sizes were decent, but not huge. We found the service to be great and our food came out pretty quickly.

There's nothing like eating delicious Italian food outdoors, in a beautiful environment, so this spot fit the bill. I especially loved the little touches with the leaves on the side of the outdoor structure. Since it was nice out, pretty much everyone was sitting outside, but there was plenty of seating inside as well. I'd recommend!

Food and drinks were fantastic. Service was a little slow. No bread served with meal which was disappointing. Sat outside and it was nice.

Friday night, lots of people dining out and the 11 of us (!!) needed a place to eat dinner. The service was excellent, though slow since the place was packed. They were kind enough to find 3 tables, put them together and we had a great time. Great selection of food and drinks. I ordered the papardelle with wild boar sauce and it was great.

Was this the tastiest food in Italy? No. The pasta was average, but they were fast and kind, and after walking 7 miles and finding every other restaurant with their kitchen's closed- this was heaven. My husband and I ended up having a nice time and conversation. So I am leaving a review just in case you're in the area and find yourself without viable options, know that this meal will do its job.

we had an enjoyable lunch this afternoon, , and Alan and the rest of the staff were very attentive, and excellent. Alam suggested a wonderful wine and the eggplant Parmesan was delicious a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon lunch.

I am so glad I decided to stay in this restaurant after seeing reviews in Yelp...
I ordered bruschetta and Mediterenian salad and everything was fresh and delicious !!! Service was very friendly from my first step to this place (it was a reason I decided to order something and not to leave after I checked reviews in Yelp ). I don't know how people can write such ugly reviews that can damage someone's business. I am picky to service and food. But this place is definitely worth trying. Everything is freshly cooked, maybe presentation is simple than in fancy restaurants but the the price is also not like in fancy restaurants.
P.S. I was walking by and saw this place was full and decided to try their food. Luckily they got one table open. Then I decided to check reviews... really Americans can be too much in criticism!!!

Lovely atmosphere and we were able to be immediately seated outside. Our waiters were so friendly and recommended some food and wine for us. I will defiantly come back on my next trip to Italy.

We had dinner here on one day and lunch another day. The pasta was fresh and the sauce was so good. We had spaghetti carbonara and lasagna. I'm not sure why there are bad reviews on the service. Service in Italy is not the same as in the U.S. but I think the waitstaff here was better than I've seen in other restaurants in Italy.

We were hungry after a day of walking around the city and wanted something near the hotel. We stopped here as other places were closed on a Friday night. My husband ordered the chicken, and I the pasta. However, My husbands dish (a cooked chicken) was still raw. The waiter asked if we wanted it more cooked, we said no. Chicken isn't supposed to be cooked raw. He said it's ok, it's served like that. If we wanted it well cooked we should have mentioned it, which he did not ask when we placed the order. We just assumed ALL chicken was cooked very well.

We asked to talk to the manager, and The only reason I give it a two stars is because the manager did rectify the situation and took it off the menu and ordered something else for him. A pasta dish.

As for the rest of our dishes, they were ok but lacked more flavor. Definitely going to keep looking, it can be difficult to find a good local spot here because it's so over-run with tourism.

Maybe someone else would have better luck. Our experience was ok, but it should have been awesome along with the food. Sadly I will not be back.

Discovered this place while wandering around Rome with family and stopped in for lunch. Great food, friendly service, and very reasonably priced. Great waiter. Excellent experience overall. Highly recommend!
