This place was definitely a hidden gem! The staff was soo friendly and welcoming. They even put on music from a famous Dominican singer when we told them we were from DR. The food was delicious. I had the onion soup and the beef bourguignon. All really flavorful. Great glass of Pinot noir to go along with my meal. Will definitely come back to Lou Cantou, next time I'm in Paris!

A nice bistro tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It's only a few blocks from Galleries Lafayette!
We stumbled upon it due to the high reviews. We came a little before 7pm which was good as this place fills up really quickly! They take reservations, so be aware if you're trying to dine during peak times.
The wait staff is friendly and helpful though sometimes gets overwhelmed during peak times.
For less than €30, you get a 3-course dinner... really great price for Paris!! I got French onion soup, entrecote, creme brulee. While not mind-blowing, all three courses were good.
The wine is also nicely priced at this restaurant. I had a cote du Rhone which paired really nicely with my dinner.
This was a nice quaint bistro in the city and a solid spot for traditional French fare.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bitsy O.Dallas, USA1048251129916. jan. 2023
Bonjour! Sporadic Europe vaca reviews commencing now...
After a cold rainy January day of climbing the flights of the Eiffel Tower, we were seeking a hot meal served in a place that felt cozy.
A short walk from the hotel, we were greeted at the doors of Lou Cantou.
We settled in for soothing red wine, a perfect well-rounded meal of some classic comforts like charcuterie with amazing pate, escargot, beef bourguignon, and creme brulee.
Not only did the food hit the spot, but the hospitality was amazing. Our waiter even showed us some locals-only spots to hit up during the trip.
Merci beaucoup Lou Cantou - definitely one of the best meals we had in Paris!!!Helpful 55Thanks 2Love this 43Oh no 0 - Eric L.Paris, Frankrig535016. okt. 2023
I've been to this restaurant last year and would have given it five stars: service was rushed, tables were small and squeezed, but food was great. Most customers were French. Now, most customers are tourists, menu has changed, and food has declined... Still decent, but not as good as it was.

Food and atmosphere were both fabulous. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We ordered the chicken fillet and beef bourguignon, cleaned the plates and somehow saved room for dessert, so glad we did!! The cheesecake was delicious. I wish there where more stars to recommend.

One of my best friends and I had lunch here during my visit in Paris. Close to the Lafayette galleries, this little hidden gem is apparently where the office goes on special occasions. Come a little earlier at noon sharp bc it gets crowded around 12:30-1p when all the nearby professionals break for lunch. I loved their light and flavorful salads and their special Apple tarte tatin.
