I stopped by here to pickup some drinks on the way to my uncles house. The shop had a good selection of food, snacks and beverages.

I ended up buying a bottle of Bacardi rum and it was reasonably priced and pretty tasty.

The staff were nice and friendly which was a plus.

Overall this supermarket was really good, I highly recommend coming here.

Love proudfoots. Been going since the 90's.
Use to go in to get sweets before school every morning.
And now it's the place I go for a paper, or a quick shopping run.
It has a post office too which Is always full of O.a.p's.
Love this place. If your in Scalby, get on over!!!

A nice little supermarket on Scalby road in Scarborough, it has it's own car park so is quite handy to pop in and get your bits and pieces, or indeed to use the post office that's part of the store.


I wouldn't recommend doing your 'big shop' here, as it isn't huge, therefore the choice is fairly limited.


They have a nice fresh fruit and veg section, and bizarrely a counter operated by a member of staff to weigh and tag your chosen purchases which you then take to the tills to pay for, which is an odd little ritual for shoppers used to the usual supermarket set up of getting it weighed and paid at the till.


They have their own butchery department, and they also sell hot meats, pastries and cakes - these always look yummy and have been assured that the pork pie is fantastic.


They carry the usual essentials such as bread, milk, eggs etc and they do from time to time have special offers on - always good when you're trying to save your pennies!

there are a few Proudfoots shop around Scarborough.They are popular with people who don't want a massive shop but like lots of choice under one roof. Having said this the Scalby Road store has two floors.The upper floor is handy for lots of DIY stuff.There is a lot of hardware stuff,gifts cards garden ornaments etc. The lower floor has the usual supermarket stuff including a cut price brand .It is licensed and they have fruit and vegetables. They sell some hot food including cooked chickens and you can buy half of one. The butchery department is well stocked and well run There is some nice fresh bread and salads to complete a meal or a picnic in one of the beauty spots not far away. There is also a post office. The store and car psrk were recently enlarged so it is customer friendly.

I love this place! Customer service is great :) Couldn't have asked for a better store closer to home
