Great cocktail bar in West Portal! Has a great atmosphere and drinks.

This buffet had food cooked improperly and really tasting off. A rubbery apple crepe that tasted ... metallic? I have no idea how to describe it, just way off. Soggy bacon that was some of the blandest I've ever had. Cilantro rice that was badly undercooked with a bad flavor. What really brought me to writing a review though were the simple breakfast potatoes that were undercooked and some left uncooked completely (literally eating a raw potato).

After years of taste-testing all around town, I've decided this is the best burger around. The fries are also excellent, but must be eaten without delay. When taking out, they still taste great but can lose their crispness by the time you get home. Maybe a different package would help?

Maybe all cash-only restaurants should be evaluated under the eye of "is it worth bothering to get cash for this food?" In the case of The Yellow Submarine, the answer is generally "no".

The steak and cheese was reasonably good, though, as others have mentioned, there's very little steak. Don't get it confused with a cheesesteak though. That isn't what they're going for.

The best word I can come up with for the fries is "inexplicable." Undercooked, greasy, flavorless potato discs.
