Everyone knows this particular brand - female or male - and what they're famous for.
Not for the feinthearted, they have a wide range of lingerie, ranging from the cute, to the obscene. Almost like a very highend version of Ann Summers, but in a completely different, almost classy, league, it offers a range of 'seduction' accessories also - whips, paddles, garters, etc, etc. Saucy, huh?
The staff are also experts in their field, and know the exact location of everything in the shop. So, whatever you're into, you'll find here.

28. okt. 2009I cant quite decide what to think of The Works.
It has lots of books, that's for sure. I'm just not sure if they're the sort of books I want though - cookery, Scottish, and non-fiction... all a bit...er... dated, if you ask me. Slightly. Not by much though. They do seem to have loads for kids - and not just books, they have 'make your own' kits ranging from fuzzy felt to clay kits. Quite extraodrindary really.
Possibly the place where all other bookshops give their rejects to, (a bit harsh, sorry), at which The Works sell them at a knock down price. 2009 Calendar anyone? Er...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0

Also, styled for a slightly older audience, I wouldn't say Monsoon is bang on trend, however, but they do have a few gems, like their dresses! Oh, the dresses are gorgeous - expensive, but lovely lovely lovely. From the LBD to the emerald green cocktail number, they really do have a wide variety, which makes me very very happy, and a lot of other people very very happy.
When it comes to sales they know how to do it - 90% of stock gets 75% off. How brilliant is that?!

Shoes that will make your feet happy, and shoes that will make grown men weep. Shoes for those who like something unusual and shoes for those who like something generic.
They have shoes that can make you taller than tall, and boots that will keep your feet nice and snuggly warm. They've got it all.

28. okt. 2009Først til at anmeldeMailboxes Etc offer binding, printing, internet, and document processing services. Essentially, they can do a lot for you, whether its binding your thesis or photocopying that last minute essay. Brilliant.
They really saved my life when it came to a 97 page report that we needed colour copied with 20 minutes to go before it was due in. We literally ran to this branch on Byres road, and thrust it in their face asking "canyoucopythisimmediately?!". I can't remember exactly how much it came to, but any price was worth paying to get it handed in ontime, without penalties, and they managed to photocopy it within 10 minutes which meant we had 10 minutes to hand it in. Needless to say we literally had 1 minute to spare before deadline close, but we did it.
Fast, efficient and inexpensive. Phew!
