Kagan

Awesome club. Out of all the clubs I've been to in Germany -- this one consistently has the best looking people. 100 euros gets you a bottle of Absolut and an incredible fruit plate.

You'll notice most of the negative reviews are focused on loud music (it's just normal club loud), rich people (yes, this is Freiburg's most upscale nightclub establishment), picky bouncers (yes, single men typically don't get in), etc.. I mean seriously -- there's 100 venues in Freiburg designed for hipsters already. Why come and complain about the one place that isn't?

If you're looking for an upscale lounge with great views, bottle-service prices that are actually much lower then numerous other upscale clubs in Germany that I've been to, and good looking people -- come to Kagan. If you're by yourself, just make sure you have a reservation!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ! It used to be a great spot to go but for some reason it seems they implement a stupid door policy... It's been 3 times I come to that place with 5 of my friends (2 guys and 3 girls) and the guys downstairs told us they are having private party and cannot let us in. This is obviously BS because "usual" customers, who seem to be friends with the "door keeper" crew, were going in without any problems.
So if this bar now is not interested to foreign customers who want to spend money in their bar it's fine, there are plenty of other spots in Freiburg more than willing to welcome us and with at least the same nice crowd

It's an okay club. It's got a very nice view of Freiburg, the music is like at other places, and the drinks are okay and overpriced like just about everywhere else. Quite a few kiddies, but at least not as many popped collars as at Karma or especially Schneerot. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to go here, though.

Probably a few sizes too New York lounge style for Freiburg, this place seems to attract the wrong kind of wannabes, posers and local rich kids at night. Fortunatelly, this crowd is reliably late so Kagan Bar, beautifully situated on the top two floor of an office building near the station, is a nice place to watch the sun set before going somewhere more relaxed and fun. Full-lenght glass windows guarantee beautiful views on the Munster, Black Forest and the Rhine valley. Once the music is turned up it is hard to have a conversation.

If you want to meet some local idiots that's definitely the place to go! You get many greedy, harsh looks when you gaze around.This is one of the worst places in Freiburg, even the music is terrific!
